UCLA Law Student Wins $10,000 ACWA Water Policy Scholarship
ACWA Awards $10,000 Water Law & Policy Scholarship SAN DIEGO, Dec. 04, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) today announced the winner of its 2025 Stephen K. Hall Water Law & Policy scholarship. Oliver Slosser, a law student at the University of California, Los Angeles, has been awarded the prestigious honour. The $10,000 prize was presented at this year’s ACWA Fall Conference & Expo in San Diego. Slosser, who also works as an Engineering Program Manager, received the funds to support his studies.
The scholarship, established in 2007, honours the legacy of former ACWA Executive Director Steve Hall. It recognises individuals who demonstrate both technical skill and a commitment to sustainable water management. The $10,000 award will go toward Slosser’s tuition, easing the financial burden of his studies. His ongoing work on the Pure Water Project and his legal training position him as a rising figure in California’s water industry. The scholarship reinforces ACWA’s commitment to supporting future leaders in water law and sustainability.
