UAE Offers Top Global University Scholarships for Spring 2026
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE has opened applications for study scholarships for the Spring 2026 semester. UAE nationals can apply for scholarships to study at top global universities, with applications closing on November 7.
Scholarships are available for all specializations, provided the university and major rank among the top 50 globally, top 100 in the US or Australia, top 200 in other countries, or top 300 in non-English-speaking nations. Applicants must meet academic degree requirements, obtain admission to approved universities and majors, pass interviews and tests, and have previous qualifications attested and equivalised.
Applications require full-time on-campus study outside the UAE, proof of exemption or completion of national service (males only), signing a declaration of commitment, and not holding another full scholarship or previous sponsorship for the same or a lower academic degree. Reasons for rejecting academic admission letters include additional academic years, distance learning, MBA or executive-level programs, and programs offered through continuing education or professional studies centers. Academic admission letters must include the specialization and a link to the program from the university's website, and cannot involve training periods, English language programs, dual-degree programs, or preparatory programs. All required documents must be submitted by November 21, with final results announced on November 28.
Around 3,000 students apply annually, with only the elite selected, representing approximately 10% of applicants. The scholarship program aims to send top Emirati students to the world's best universities to contribute to shaping the nation's future. Currently, 592 students are sponsored to study abroad, with 187 graduates in the 2024-2025 academic year.
