Tulsa educator’s lifelong bond with the city’s public school district nears milestone
Dr. Johnson, a graduate of Tulsa Public Schools, currently holds a role within the district. His contract is set to expire on June 30, 2026. The educator completed his own schooling in Tulsa, attending three of the district’s institutions.
Dr. Johnson attended Walt Whitman Elementary, Gilcrease Middle School, and McLain High School. He graduated from the latter in 1994. His entire education took place within Tulsa Public Schools, the largest district in Oklahoma.
Dr. Johnson’s connection to Tulsa Public Schools spans decades, from his time as a student to his current role. The district, covering 77 schools, will see his contract conclude in two years. No additional updates on his professional status have been released.
