TS LAWCET & PGLCET 2026 registrations open—apply before March 1 to avoid late fees
The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has launched registrations for TS LAWCET 2026 and TS PGLCET 2026. These entrance exams, often referred to as the 'law examsoft', open doors to law programmes like LLB, BA LLB, and LLM at universities across the state. Candidates can now submit applications through the official website before the initial deadline.
Applications for TS LAWCET and TS PGLCET must be submitted online at lawcet.tgche.ac.in. The registration window closes on March 1, 2026, without any late fee. Those missing the cutoff can still apply until May 13, 2026, but will incur late charges ranging from ₹500 to ₹10,000.
The exams are scheduled for May 18, 2026, conducted in two separate shifts. Fees vary by category: TS LAWCET costs ₹900 for General candidates and ₹600 for SC/ST & PH applicants, while TS PGLCET fees are ₹1,100 and ₹900 respectively.
Successful candidates will gain admission to recognised institutions, including Osmania University, Kakatiya University, NALSAR University of Law, and private colleges like Symbiosis Law School and ICFAI Law School. Seat allotments will be handled through counselling organised by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education.
The exams provide a pathway to law degrees at top universities in Telangana. With registration open until early March, applicants have a narrow window to avoid late fees. Results will determine admissions for the 2026 academic year.
