Tractor Supply Aims for 3,200 Stores by 2030, Posts Q2 Sales Growth

Tractor Supply Company (TSCO), the largest rural-lifestyle retailer in the US, has revealed ambitious expansion plans. The company aims to reach 3,200 stores by 2030, opening around 90 locations in 2025. This growth is supported by strong financial projections and a strategic focus on key areas.

In the second quarter of 2025, Tractor Supply's net sales increased by 4.5%, with a 1.5% rise in comparable sales. The company expects earnings per share to grow by 8% to 11% over time. For the full year 2025, Tractor Supply reaffirmed its guidance for net sales growth of 4% to 8%, comparable sales growth of 0% to 4%, and an operating margin of 9.5% to 9.9%.

The company's growth strategy, 'Life Out Here 2030', targets a 10% to 10.5% operating margin by 2030. This plan focuses on building customer loyalty, expanding private brands, improving delivery services, enhancing pet and animal care offerings, and developing a retail media network. Tractor Supply aims to keep capital expenditures at about 4% of net sales to support these initiatives.

In the recent quarter, the company's gross margin stood at 36.9%. Tractor Supply also maintains a strong dividend policy, with a quarterly payout of $0.23 per share and a payout ratio of about 44%.

Tractor Supply's aggressive expansion plans, robust financial outlook, and strategic focus on key growth areas position the company well for future success.
