The Sverdlovsk region outranks Urfa in terms of web traffic for platforms offering tutor services.
Sverdlovsk Oblast Leads Ural Region in Tutoring Demand Ahead of Final Exams
Sverdlovsk Oblast has experienced a 10% increase in traffic on tutoring websites since May 2024, as high school students intensify their preparations for the upcoming spring exams. According to a joint study by MegaFon and hh.ru, this trend is most prominent in the Middle Urals, where interest in online tutoring resources began to escalate in March.
In April, user activity in the Middle Urals increased by 57% compared to the beginning of the year. Correspondingly, the number of tutor vacancies on hh.ru jumped by 17% during the same period. MegaFon reports that the region has seen a consistent growth in the demand for online lessons, with Tuesday and Wednesday being the busiest days for both lessons and teacher searches.
Experts attribute this surge in demand to the increasingly competitive education landscape in Sverdlovsk Oblast. As the region leads Ural Federal District in terms of traffic volume on tutoring websites, the median salary for tutors in the Middle Urals now hovers around 50,000 rubles – in line with average market indicators.
Areas with the highest salary levels include Moscow, the Moscow region, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, St. Petersburg, and the Leningrad region, as well as Primorsky and Krasnodar Krais. While no specific figures are available for Sverdlovsk Oblast, famous educational centers such as Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Tagil are likely to see increased demand for tutors, particularly in subjects like Mathematics, Sciences, and Languages.
According to Alexei Zhenikhov, Director of MegaFon in Sverdlovsk Oblast, the telecom company has built and modernized approximately 250 telecom facilities this year to ensure reliable high-speed internet connections for online lessons across the region. He emphasized the importance of providing students in Sverdlovsk Oblast with access to top-tier tutoring resources, regardless of location.
Online education in Sverdlovsk Oblast has witnessed a significant increase, with a 10% surge in traffic on tutoring websites preceding the spring exams. For these students, self-development and education-and-self-development through online platforms have become crucial, contributing to the region's rising demand for online tutoring resources.
