Tesla Offers Complimentary FSD 13 Test Trials in Canada and the United States on Christmas Eve
Tesla has announced a complimentary Full Self-Driving (Supervised) trial for Model Y vehicles with serial numbers ending in XXXXXX. The trial, starting on Christmas Eve, will run until January 23, 2025.
This trial allows drivers to experience advanced driving features such as automatic lane changes, navigating forks in the road, and making turns with FSD 13, the newest version of the software. However, it's important to note that the trial does not make the vehicle autonomous. Users must remain attentive and cautious during the trial, and additional caution should be exercised by both the user and anyone they authorize.
The trial is not exclusive to those with an active Full Self-Driving (FSD) subscription. Tesla owners who meet the eligibility criteria can participate, regardless of their current subscription status. For those with an active FSD (Supervised) subscription, they will receive an additional 30 days of free Full Self-Driving capability.
It's worth mentioning that this is not the first time Tesla has extended FSD month trials. The company has done so in the past to provide users with the opportunity to test and experience the latest advancements in autonomous driving technology.
The trial is applicable to vehicles with AI4 (Hardware 4) and AMD chips. However, it may also be applicable to other Tesla models. Older vehicles with AI3 (Hardware 3) have yet to experience FSD 13 and are expected to get FSD 12.6 this month, according to Tesla.
During the trial, users are not to become complacent. The trial is intended to offer an enhanced driving experience, not to replace the need for human supervision. There is no information available about receiving a free trial of Full Self-Driving (FSD) with FSD 13 on your vehicle with AI4 at this time.
Tesla owners who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to experience the future of autonomous driving. As always, safety remains a top priority, and users are reminded to remain attentive and cautious during the trial.
