Telangana SSC Exams 2026 Start March 14 with Stricter OMR Rules

The Telangana Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination for 2026 will begin on March 14 and run until April 16. Over 528,000 students are set to take the tests across 2,676 centres in the state. Authorities have introduced new measures to prevent common mistakes on OMR sheets after past issues led to thousands of invalid answers.

The Directorate of Government Examinations has released sample OMR sheets to help students prepare. These sheets aim to reduce errors like incomplete bubbles, multiple markings, or smudges from ink pens. In previous years, mistakes such as incorrect roll number entries or poorly filled circles caused many answers to be disqualified.

To avoid such problems, students must use only blue or black ballpoint pens and fully darken the correct bubble. They should also ensure the OMR sheet remains flat, undamaged, and free from extra marks or scratches. Personal details, including roll number, subject code, and booklet code, must be written clearly in the designated boxes. The board has distributed hall tickets through schools and the official website. Students can also retrieve theirs via WhatsApp by sending 'Hi' to 8096958096 and requesting the SSC Hall Ticket March 2026. Exams will be held in pen-and-paper format, with most sessions running from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Schools are now conducting orientation programmes and sharing video tutorials to guide students. The board has included detailed instructions on hall tickets to reinforce proper OMR handling. Students must carry their hall ticket to the exam centre and arrive well before reporting time.

The 2026 SSC exams will see stricter guidelines to minimise OMR errors. Students have been advised to follow invigilator instructions and use only permitted stationery. The board's efforts focus on ensuring smooth conduct and accurate evaluation of the examinations.
