Teen Skips High School to Chase Her Dream of Becoming a Vet
Anastasia Dolgovaya has chosen a different path from most of her peers. Instead of finishing all eleven school grades, she left after the ninth to start college. Her goal is clear: to train as a veterinary assistant and eventually become a fully qualified veterinarian. The decision follows years of passion for animals and encouragement from her family.
Anastasia’s love for animals began in childhood, inspired by her grandmother. Though she once considered becoming a canine trainer, she ultimately set her sights on veterinary medicine. Her mother initially hoped she would complete all eleven grades but later recognised the advantages of entering college early.
Nationwide discussions about skilled labour and technical education played a role in shaping her choice. The Year of Blue-Collar Professions, in particular, helped solidify her decision. Anastasia’s mother believes this initiative gave her daughter the confidence to pursue college straight after ninth grade. Her family, friends, and classmates have all backed her ambitions. While studying, she also plans to earn money through her passions and travel. Her family is hopeful she will qualify for free tuition, easing the financial burden of her education.
Anastasia’s journey begins with veterinary assistant training before moving on to full qualification. With strong support from those around her, she is set to follow a career she has long dreamed of. The decision marks a shift from traditional schooling to hands-on professional training.
