TechMatrix overhauls cybersecurity with Tenable One's unified platform

TechMatrix has overhauled its cybersecurity approach by adopting Tenable One, a unified exposure management platform. The move comes as the company faces growing threats in an industry increasingly targeted by cyberattacks. Traditional perimeter defenses and manual risk scoring had left gaps, prompting the need for a more proactive strategy.

For years, TechMatrix relied on perimeter security and occasional penetration tests. Manual CVSS-based scoring proved time-consuming, while outdated system accounts with weak passwords and excessive permissions piled up. These methods struggled to keep pace with modern risks spreading through supply chains.

Tenable One has transformed the company's defenses by introducing automated risk prioritization. The platform's Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR) and integrated triage guidelines now help TechMatrix assess IT assets based on actual risk. Japanese-language support from Tenable has also sped up investigations and improved identity security. The shift has cut down the time and effort needed to address vulnerabilities. By incorporating identity context, Tenable One allows TechMatrix to focus remediation more precisely. The company has moved from a reactive, perimeter-focused stance to a proactive, risk-based strategy—gaining deeper visibility into legacy systems, full Active Directory inventories, and weak access controls.

TechMatrix now operates with a clearer view of its security posture. The unified platform has streamlined vulnerability management and reduced manual workloads. With stronger identity protections and risk-based prioritization, the company is better equipped to handle evolving cyber threats.
