Swiss Youth Media Week's YouNews Launches Annual Product Testing Challenge

Swiss Youth Media Week's YouNews is inviting students and school classes to participate in its annual product testing challenge. Hosted by 'Kassensturz', the leading consumer affairs program in Switzerland, the event aims to foster critical thinking, creativity, communication, and teamwork skills among young participants.

Students are encouraged to choose a product, define evaluation criteria, and devise test methods for their project. They should also include details about their chosen product, preliminary findings, and a team profile in their submission. The deadline for entries is January 30, 2026, with submissions to be sent to 'younews.kassensturz@[website]'.

The winning team will collaborate with 'Kassensturz' professionals to produce a student loans report of their test. Their winning project will be implemented in 2026, and the entire class will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of SRF's studios as a reward. While the winners of the 2021 competition are not publicly known, this year's challenge promises an exciting opportunity for young innovators.
