Swiss Students Invited to Test Products, Win Big with YouNews Challenge

Students across Switzerland are invited to participate in the annual product testing challenge hosted by Swiss Youth Media Week (YouNews), organised by Kassensturz, the country's leading consumer affairs program. The challenge aims to develop critical thinking, creativity, communication, and teamwork skills among young participants.

The challenge involves conducting a thorough test of a chosen product. Projects should include details of the product, evaluation criteria, test methods, preliminary findings, and a profile of the team conducting the test. Students and entire school classes are encouraged to take part. The winning team's test will be implemented in 2026 with support from Kassensturz, and they will also receive a studio tour for their entire class. Additionally, the winning team will collaborate with Kassensturz professionals to produce a video report.

Submissions must be sent to younews.kassensturz@[website] by January 30, 2026. No information about a 2026 winning team or the product they tested is available at the moment.

The product testing challenge is an exciting opportunity for Swiss students to gain practical skills while contributing to consumer awareness. The winning team's work will have a real impact, and the entire class will enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at Kassensturz. Submissions are open until January 30, 2026.
