Süchteln's Senior Café Launches Free Digital Skills Courses for Older Adults
The Senior Internet Café Süchteln is offering two new computer courses for older adults this February. Both sessions aim to help participants develop digital skills, with one focusing on beginners and the other on creating photo books using Google Photos. Registration is now open, but spaces are limited.
The first course, 'PC Basics for Beginners', starts on February 25 and runs every Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. It costs €21 and is designed for seniors with little or no computer experience—even those unfamiliar with using a mouse and keyboard.
The second course, 'Creating a Photo Book on Your PC using Google Photos', begins on February 24 and takes place every Tuesday from 11 AM to 12 PM, also for €21. Participants should have basic Windows skills and bring a USB drive with around 200 images. The class teaches how to turn family photos into a personalised photo book using free, easy-to-use Google Photos software.
Both courses allow attendees to bring their own laptops or use the café's provided PCs. Advance registration is required, as places are limited.
Those interested can sign up by calling 02162/8902585 or emailing [email protected]. More details are available on the café's website at www.internetcafe-suechteln.ekir.de. The courses take place at the Katharina-von-Bora-Haus, Westring 23, Süchteln.
