Spartan Metals Unveils Two New Tungsten-Silver-Rubidium Targets in Nevada
Spartan Metals Corp. has uncovered two new tungsten-silver-rubidium exploration targets at the Tungstonia deposit in Nevada. The discovery follows an extensive soil sampling programme across the Eagle Tungsten-Silver-Rubidium Project. Company officials say the findings strengthen plans for future drilling in the region.
The exploration work covered roughly 20 square kilometers, with around 2,100 soil samples collected on a 100m x 100m grid. Two distinct anomalies emerged: one spanning about 2.0 km by 1.7 km in the western area of the Tungstonia claims, and another measuring roughly 0.75 km by 2.1 km in the southeast. Both zones showed stronger mineral signatures than those found near the old Tungstonia mine.
High-grade results from the soil included tungsten concentrations up to 272 ppm, silver up to 5.9 g/t, and rubidium up to 537 ppm. These anomalies align with known geological structures that influence mineralisation at the legacy mine site.
Brett Marsh, Spartan’s President and CEO, confirmed that the soil data supports the company’s exploration model. The results will now guide further sampling along the edges of the newly staked Tungstonia claims. A drilling programme is scheduled for spring 2026, targeting the most promising areas identified.
The Eagle Project itself covers 36.5 square kilometers, situated about 120 kilometers northeast of Ely in Nevada’s Kern Mountains. Eagle Tungsten LLC, a subsidiary, manages the project’s operations on the ground.
The discovery of these two new targets marks a key step in Spartan Metals’ exploration efforts. With soil results now guiding drill planning, the company aims to expand its understanding of the Tungstonia deposit’s potential. Further sampling and the upcoming 2026 drill programme will determine the next phase of development.
