Solingen's City Library Launches Summer Reading Club with School Trophy
The city library of Solingen invites all students, siblings, parents, and friends to participate in the Summer Reading Club, a large-scale reading promotion project in NRW. Starting on 4th June 2024, participants can collect stamps for their logbook by reading books, listening to audiobooks, or attending events, either individually or as a team. The club will culminate in a closing party on 7th September, where the school with the most successful participants will be awarded the school trophy.
The Summer Reading Club, one of the largest reading promotion projects in NRW, is back this year with the city library of Solingen joining the initiative. Participants can register and pick up their reading materials at the Children's Library starting 4th June. Throughout the summer, readers can collect stamps in their logbook for every book read or audiobook listened to, and for attending events. The more stamps collected, the higher the chances of winning the school trophy for their school.
The club will conclude with a thrilling closing party on 7th September. Here, the school trophy will be presented to the school with the most successful participants. Additionally, all participants will receive a certificate to celebrate their achievements at the end of the summer holidays.
