Solingen’s CHECK! Center Opens Registration for Hands-On Youth Courses

The CHECK! Student Research Center in Solingen has launched its latest course programme for children, young people, and school groups. Alongside regular workshops, special holiday sessions will run during the Easter and summer breaks. Registration is now open, with a deadline of Monday, January 26, 2026.

The centre offers a broad selection of activities tailored to different age groups. Preschoolers can take part in workshops like the Seed Workshop, Easter Workshop, or the Ready for School course. For elementary school children, options include the Dinosaur Meetup, Experiments Mix, and water-themed holiday sessions.

School classes also have exclusive access to career-focused courses and excursions. These aim to give students practical insights into various professions. While specific companies are not listed, similar initiatives—such as SCHAU REIN! in Saxony—organise events like the Woche der offenen Unternehmen (March 9–14, 2026), where students tour businesses for first-hand work experience. Other events, like KarriereStart 2026, showcase regional employers from sectors including industry, IT, and crafts.

All course details and registration forms are available online at www.check-solingen.de/kurse. Places will be assigned by lottery on January 27, 2026, with any remaining spots filled throughout the semester. The centre itself is located in Building 1 of Solingen Economic Development GmbH & Co. KG at Grünewalder Straße 29–31, easily reachable by public transport.

The programme provides hands-on learning opportunities for all ages, from early childhood to career-oriented school groups. With registration closing soon, interested participants are encouraged to sign up for career advice before the January 26 deadline. Further updates on availability will follow after the lottery draw.
