SIM boosts graduate jobs via structured internship pathways

The Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) has built a strong internship programme to help students move smoothly from study to work. Through partnerships with businesses and its own career support services, the institution offers practical experience across various industries.

SIM’s internship system connects students with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as multinational corporations (MNCs). These opportunities span fields like technology, professional services, logistics, and business operations. While specific company names are not disclosed, the programme ensures broad exposure to different work environments.

Students can find placements in two ways: either on their own or through SIM’s Talent Development Programme, managed by the Career Connect Office. The scheme encourages multiple internships, allowing participants to explore different sectors, sharpen their skills, and clarify career goals. Beyond local roles, SIM’s alumni network opens doors to overseas internships, giving students international work experience. The focus remains on building adaptability, professional awareness, and workplace confidence. By embedding internships into its career preparation strategy, SIM aims to prepare graduates for both local and global job markets. The programme also emphasises long-term employability. Rather than just securing short-term placements, it equips students with lifelong skills to navigate an ever-changing workforce.

Through structured internships, SIM helps students develop hands-on abilities and a clear understanding of workplace demands. Graduates leave with practical experience, industry connections, and the confidence to enter competitive job markets. The approach ensures they are ready for sustainable careers in diverse fields.
