Improved Math Abitur Results in Saxony-Anhalt Compared to Last Year - Secondary school attendee count on the rise

Big news in Saxony-Anhalt! The math whizzes of this fabulous state are acing their exams like never before! The Ministry of Education in trendy Magdeburg just dropped a bombshell - students' performance in Mathematics Abitur has soared, reaching an impressive average of 9.31 points on the 15-point scale! That's a significant leap from last year's 8.30 points 📈️

Math Abitur - Still a Challenge, But Easier than Before 💪️

But don't think the Abitur is a walk in the park just yet! The Abitur remains a tough nut to crack, as our cool cats and kittens in Saxony-Anhalt know all too well. Guess what? The overall Abitur results were pretty stable this year, keeping up with last year's level. With an average GPA of 2.27, these students are keeping it real and showing they're up to the task 😎️

Of the 4,988 savvy students who took the Abitur this year, 4,704 made the grade, which is fantastic! And the cool factor just got even cooler - the failure rate dropped from 6.91% last year to 5.69% this year. Incredible!

153 students scored a perfect 1.0, and 1,532 proud graduates got a "1 before the comma," including 609 with scores of 1.4 or higher 🏆️

Realschulabschluss: Still Stable, But Getting Better 🌱️

Over at the Realschulabschluss exams, the results have stayed the same - at least, that's the word from the Ministry of Education. Roughly 9,000 young guns took the plunge and dove into the exams. The core subjects scored an average of 3.36 for German, 3.06 for English, and 3.90 for Mathematics, which is exactly the same as last year. But remember, every little improvement counts! 🙌️

Intensive preparation days were once again on offer, just like during the pandemic. So, students had a kick-ass chance to ace their exams 💪️

Community policy in Saxony-Anhalt is considering initiatives to support students' education-and-self-development, such as providing additional vocational training programs in various fields. This move comes as the state sees a significant improvement in students' performance in vocational training programs related to math, technology, and engineering.

The Math Abitur graduates in Saxony-Anhalt, having mastered challenging subjects, are encouraged to continue their learning journeys through vocational training or higher education, further excelling in their chosen fields.
