Science education boom sees biology and medical fields lead student demand in 2025

Interest in science subjects has surged in 2025, with students and schools focusing more on medical and biological fields. Demand for tutors and teachers in these areas has risen sharply, alongside higher salaries for specialized roles. Experts link the trend to growing opportunities in healthcare and research.

Student interest in anatomy has jumped by 17% compared to last year. Histology tutoring has also seen a 16% increase in demand, while biochemistry interest rose by 8%. Mechanics tutoring, though less dramatic, still grew by nearly 5%.

Schools are responding to the shift. Job postings for biology teachers soared by 85%, with monthly salaries now ranging from 43,731 to 63,765 rubles. Chemistry teacher vacancies climbed by 50%, offering between 41,895 and 58,933 rubles. Physics teaching positions grew by 13%, with pay scales from 49,164 to 79,898 rubles. Anna Petrova, head of education at Avito Services, noted the trend reflects broader interest in medical and biological sciences. She highlighted how these fields are becoming central to both education and career paths.

The rise in demand for science tutors and teachers points to a clear shift in student priorities. Higher salaries and more job openings suggest schools are adapting to meet this growing focus. The changes align with expanding opportunities in medicine, research, and technology sectors.
