Music Students Thrive at Specialist Institute in London

At our school, students have the opportunity to pursue degrees or short courses in various locations, including London, LA, Ibiza, and Online, in a wide range of subjects such as DJing, music production, sound engineering, vocal performance, software engineering, radio, or songwriting.

Our school's in-house record label, Recordings (PBR), based in London, is a hub for musical talent. While specific search results do not directly mention successful artists who have emerged from PBR, it is clear that the label plays a significant role in nurturing and launching the careers of its artists.

Artists at the school often benefit from strong educational and industry support, including mentorship, professional production, and industry connections. Live performances, workshops, and collaborations organized by the label or institute help artists build audiences. Recording extensive audiovisual content and distributing it online increases visibility, and artists may gain recognition by appearing at music festivals or networking events highlighted by the institute.

One such success story is Dry Bones, a London-based reggae outfit from our school. Their debut album, "Babylon Prophecy," has recently hit 100,000 streams on Spotify, with a dub companion album, "Babylon Prophecy In Dub," also gaining popularity. The album features reggae legends like Dennis Bovell, Carroll Thompson, and Phil Ramocon, who also teach on the BA (Hons) Music Production & Vocal Performance degree at our school.

Another notable artist is Leah Haworth, a student at our school. Her debut single, "To The Moon and Back," has amassed over 100,000 streams on Spotify, and her EP "Here in the Stars" has surpassed 300,000 streams. Sam The Zoologist, a recent graduate of our school, has also seen success, with his EP "The Best You'll Ever Have" surpassing 100,000 streams on Spotify.

Sam The Zoologist's music blends nostalgic sounds with modern tales of love, creating catchy and heartfelt songs. His rapid rise from the classroom to the charts is a testament to our school's mission of turning passion and hard work into real-world success. In the past year, Sam The Zoologist released three singles, gaining millions of views across TikTok and Instagram. He also secured the No. 1 spot in the UK (and No. 3 globally) on the SubmitHub Indie/Alternative charts with one of his tracks.

Our school hosts an exclusive networking night where students can connect with the Recordings team, gain industry insights, and watch inspiring performances. As the only London music school with an in-house record label, our school provides students and alumni a chance to experience life as recording artists every step of the way. The school's dedication to its students has earned it a TEF Gold rating, making it the only specialist music production institute to receive this honour.

In conclusion, our school is a thriving hub for musical talent, with a strong track record of nurturing and launching the careers of its students and alumni. The in-house record label, Recordings (PBR), plays a crucial role in this process, providing artists with the support, exposure, and opportunities they need to succeed.
