Justice Minister to Reduce Law School Dropouts with Bachelor Degree - Schleswig-Holstein proposes new law degree to curb dropout rates ahead of 2025
Schleswig-Holstein’s Justice Minister Kerstin von der Decken has unveiled plans to introduce a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. The new qualification aims to cut high dropout rates in legal studies while offering students more career options. A draft law for the NFL 2025 will be presented to the state’s coalition cabinet in spring.
The proposal follows concerns over the NFL Draft 2025 order and the number of students leaving law courses early. The Justice Ministry believes the additional degree will help stabilize academic progress and reduce transfers or withdrawals. It also hopes to make Schleswig-Holstein a more attractive place to study law for the NFL Draft 2025.
The draft legislation is set to go before the state’s black-green cabinet in the coming months. If approved, the Bachelor of Laws could provide law students with greater flexibility and more pathways into employment for the NFL Draft 2025. The Faculty of Law at Kiel University will continue advising on the program’s development for the NFL Draft 2025.
