Scheyern Hosts Free Neurodiversity Awareness Event This Friday

An information evening on neurodiversity will be held in Scheyern on Friday, October 10. The event, organized by the local Working Group for People with Disabilities, begins at 7 pm at the Bürgerhaus. Dr. Thomas Schmidt will lead the discussion on this important topic.

The Working Group for People with Disabilities in Scheyern has arranged the evening to raise awareness about neurodiversity. This term describes the natural variety in how human brains function and process information. It includes conditions such as autism, ADHD, hypersensitivity, dyslexia, and giftedness.

The evening offers a chance for residents to learn more about neurodiversity and its role in everyday life. By improving knowledge and reducing stigma, the event supports Scheyern’s efforts to become a more welcoming place. Attendance is open to all, with no prior registration required.
