Sberbank’s Holiday Campaign Doubles Grants to 2M Rubles for Children in Need

Sberbank’s charitable foundation Contribution to the Future has launched its 11th annual A Kind New Year’s Gift campaign. The initiative aims to raise funds for Russian nonprofits supporting children and teenagers in need. This year, the maximum grant for selected projects has risen to 2 million rubles.

The campaign will run until January 20, 2026, with all donations made through Sber’s SberVmeste crowdfunding platform matched by the bank. The funds will back projects helping children—including orphans, foster children, and those with intellectual disabilities—adapt and thrive in daily life.

A grant competition is now open for nonprofits working with young people aged 5 to 18. Applications will be accepted until December 15, 2025, and the winners will be announced on March 4, 2026. Successful projects, lasting between 9 and 12 months, will begin implementation in April 2026.

Last year’s campaign raised 25 million rubles in donations, with total contributions reaching 68.6 million rubles. Over the past decade, the initiative has collected 333.7 million rubles in support. In 2024, the competition received 332 applications from 66 regions, with 39 top projects selected for funding.

The grants will fund programmes in social development, communication training, career guidance, accessible housing, and sports. Nonprofits can apply until mid-December, with winning projects set to start next spring. The campaign continues to expand its reach, offering larger grants and wider support for vulnerable children across Russia.
