Russia's History Contest Honors Young Creative Minds Across 84 Regions
A nationwide competition celebrating Russia's history has recognised young talent from across the country. The 'Russia's History Through My Eyes' contest drew over 4,000 entries, with winners honoured at a special ceremony. Organisers stressed the importance of making history engaging for children through creative formats.
The National Center 'Russia' hosted the awards for the contest, which invited young participants to explore historical themes. Entries included presentations, videos, and illustrations, designed to bring history to life in an accessible way. Yekaterina Averkiyeva, a key figure in the project, explained that the goal was to make learning about the past compelling and interactive for younger audiences.
Denis Shpolyansky shared a message from Vladimir Medinsky, emphasising the depth and educational value of Russia's history. The event celebrated 45 winners and laureates from 27 regions. Nizhny Novgorod Oblast stood out, receiving a special prize for 'Best Region' after submitting 705 entries. Participants came from 84 Russian regions and six foreign countries. The competition aimed to foster a deeper connection to history through creativity and innovation.
The contest highlighted the enthusiasm of young people for history, with thousands taking part in innovative ways. Nizhny Novgorod Oblast's strong participation earned it special recognition. Winners now join a growing community dedicated to preserving and sharing Russia's past.
