Russia’s free retraining initiative draws over 100,000 eager learners nationwide
The Russian government's 'Labor Force' national project is providing free retraining programs to help citizens acquire in-demand skills. Over 100,000 Russians have begun these courses, with over 7,400 from the Nizhny Novgorod region alone.
The project offers training in 360 professions, selected based on proposals from industry agencies and regional authorities. Over 100 enterprises have participated in developing these programs. Training is available in a flexible format, both in-person and remote, using modern distance-learning technologies.
Graduates receive official certificates, either a professional qualification or an advanced training diploma. The Nizhny Novgorod region ranks among the top 10 regions in Russia by the number of applications. More than 80 employers are already retraining future employees at their own corporate or partner educational centers. Applications can be submitted through the Work in Russia digital platform.
