The Tenth All-Russian Ethnographic Dictation, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, took place from November 1–8, 2025. Organized by the Russian Geographical Society, the event aimed to foster public interest in Russia's diverse peoples, history, and cultural heritage.

Last year, over 28,000 people participated in the event, ranking it in the top 30 nationwide and first place in the Far Eastern Federal District. This year, the dictation was held in various formats, including an in-flight edition on a Yakutsk-Moscow flight, with over 150 passengers taking part. Nearly 140 participants joined in Yakutia on Unity Day, with the event taking place at the Alexander Kulakovsky House of Peoples’ Friendship.

Georgy Stepanov, Deputy Chairman of the Yakutia Government, emphasized the importance of the Ethnographic Dictation in expressing love for Russia. The campaign was available in two formats this year—online and in-person, allowing anyone to take the dictation remotely by visiting nationalsnaya-politika.rf and answering 30 multiple-choice questions.
