Russia’s 2025 education boom: Classical dance and music lessons skyrocket in demand
Russia witnessed a remarkable surge in educational demand during September-October 2025, with interest doubling compared to the previous year. This trend was particularly evident in the Far Eastern Federal District, where classical dance, marketing, and musical instrument lessons saw significant increases in demand.
Dance lessons, especially classical, experienced a quadrupling in demand. Hip-hop and choreography classes also saw substantial increases, with a threefold and more than doubling in interest respectively. Musical education was in high demand, with saxophone and accordion lessons seeing a quadrupling and doubling in interest respectively. Violin classes grew by 64%.
The surge in demand was not limited to arts. Programming and analytics courses saw a 7% and 19% increase in demand respectively. Business and IT training also saw a significant increase, with a doubling of interest. Business and finance courses grew in popularity by 69%.
The autumn of 2025 saw a notable upsurge in educational demand across Russia, with a wide range of subjects experiencing significant increases in interest.
