Russians adapt smoothly to post-holiday work routines in 2026

Most Russians have settled back into their work routines after the New Year break. A recent survey of 10,000 adults in January 2026 revealed how people adjusted to life after the holidays. While some faced challenges, many planned ahead to ease the transition.

The survey showed that 37% of respondents struggled most with the exhaustion of returning to work. Holiday preparations and general busyness each caused difficulties for 21%, while 20% found active socialising during the season draining.

Despite these hurdles, 17% managed to take extra days off after the official break. Another 25% considered extending their leave but adapted without additional time. Many Russians deliberately organised their schedules to ensure a smoother start to the year.

The findings suggest a mindful approach to post-holiday adjustments. A significant number of people carefully planned their return to work, helping them regain their usual rhythm more easily.

The results highlight how Russians handle the shift from festive downtime to daily responsibilities. Some relied on extra rest, while others adjusted through careful planning. The majority successfully resumed their work routines without major disruptions.
