Russian Folk Ensemble 'Native' Wins Third Place, Honors Tradition
The All-Russian festival-competition 'Poetry, My Native Land. On the Wave of Traditions' recently took place in Smolensk. It attracted folk choirs and folklore ensembles from 19 regions across Russia. The event was filled with competitive auditions, a creative laboratory, gala concerts, and master classes.
Among the participants was the 'Native' folk ensemble from Petrovsk-Zabaikalsk. They made a significant impression, securing the third place in the competition. The ensemble's leader, Boris Korchanov, was recognised for his efforts in preserving folk traditions through his original music. He received a special diploma for his dedication.
