Russia cracks down on Chinese feed additives over compliance violations

Russian authorities have intensified scrutiny on Chinese feed additives following the discovery of multiple infractions. The Rosselkhoznadzor branch in Zabaykalsky Krai published its 2025 report, highlighting issues with product composition and regulatory compliance.

Inspectors collected 537 samples of feed and feed additives during their inspections. Of these, 28 revealed discrepancies between declared and actual contents. These findings led to closer examination of certain manufacturers.

A total of 33 products were subjected to enhanced monitoring due to initial violations by Chinese producers. Six Chinese-made feed additives had their registrations suspended as a consequence. Three companies faced further action, with temporary restrictions imposed for repeated offenses.

The report, released via Telegram, did not identify specific manufacturers or detail the nature of the legal breaches. However, it confirmed that no Chinese firms were newly blacklisted in 2024 for violations.

These measures are part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with Russian feed safety regulations. Enhanced monitoring and temporary restrictions will continue for the affected companies. Authorities have not ruled out additional action if further violations are discovered.
