Koehler Paper Award Recognizes Outstanding Achievements in Paper Technology

The Koehler Paper Award, presented by Koehler Paper - a company within the Koehler Group - has been awarded to two exceptional graduates from HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences. This year's recipients are Fabian Noss, a master’s graduate, and Manuel Ebmeyer, a bachelor’s graduate.

Fabian Noss, who specializes in "Paper Technology", excelled in chemical technology, coating, and specialty paper. He was also the top of his class in minerals, coating, and specialty paper. Manuel Ebmeyer, a graduate in "Paper and Biofiber Process Engineering", received the award for having the best grades in biopolymer chemistry, biogenic fibers, and surface finishing.

The Koehler Paper Award honours extraordinary academic performance in areas of key importance for the paper processing industry. It is given to outstanding graduates in the fields of "Paper Technology" and "Paper and Biofiber Process Engineering". This year marks the fourth time that the award has been presented to HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences.

Simon Ketterer, Head of Personnel Consulting and Support, and Thomas Peter, General Production Manager at the Koehler Paper mill in Kehl, Germany, handed out the awards at the official HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences graduation ceremony.

In his speech, Simon Ketterer expressed the company's enthusiasm for supporting young talent and facilitating knowledge transfers between universities and the industrial sector. Thomas Peter stated that the Koehler Paper Award is a demonstration of the company's belief in the importance of young talent in the future of the paper industry.

Each recipient received €1,000 and a certificate printed on handmade paper produced by Koehler. The award is given to honour the academic achievements of young talents in the paper industry, and to cultivate dedicated young talent early on.
