Recruitment company, Accedo Group, expands initiatives to incorporate displaced individuals into their workforce.
In an effort to support displaced individuals, the world's leading talent advisory and solutions company, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, has mobilised various training and upskilling opportunities for refugees fleeing the conflict in Ukraine. The group, listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange (ADEN), has been instrumental in providing resources for those seeking employment and education pathways.
Over 5,500 refugees from Ukraine have registered on the group's job platform, and more than 1,650 companies have signed up to the free-to-post online job matching platform at [https://www.adeccojobsforukraine.com](https://www.adeccojobsforukraine.com).
In addition to job matching, the group has developed a jobs portal offering world-class training, up-skilling, and re-skilling opportunities. This includes Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) courses in Ireland, which are one to two-year full-time courses available at National Framework of Qualifications Levels 5 and 6. These courses, delivered by Education and Training Boards (ETBs), combine technical knowledge, core skills, and work experience tailored to industry needs, leading to recognised qualifications and providing routes to skilled employment or higher education. Refugees displaced from Ukraine can apply for PLC Bursaries that cover course costs, facilitating access to these programs in schools, colleges, and community education centers across the country.
Language and workplace skills training are also available in partner countries like Romania. Trainings such as "Workplace: Essential Communication for Job Integration" help Ukrainian refugees enhance their host country language skills focused on workplace integration. These trainings are tailored for first-time attendees to ensure comprehension and effectiveness, delivering essential linguistic tools for job market entry.
Broader educational and integration support initiatives across the EU focus on early childhood education and care, social and linguistic inclusion for school-aged children, and mental health support to improve refugees' educational outcomes and well-being.
According to the UNHCR report for Romania in 2025, around 4,211 Ukrainian refugees have participated in these training and social assistance awareness sessions designed for integration and protection services. Overall, UNHCR and partners have supported over 6,440 refugees with protection services, including group training sessions. UNESCO notes a high completion rate of 42% for free training courses offered in Ukraine, significantly surpassing the national average, underscoring the impact of these educational initiatives within Ukraine itself.
Alain Dehaze, CEO of the group, encourages companies to get involved in the initiative to make a meaningful impact. The group's culture of inclusivity, fairness, and teamwork empowers its employees, as it believes in making the future work for everyone and creating shared value that fuels economies and builds better societies.
