Rajasthan DigiFest X TiE Summit 2026 charts India’s AI-driven economic roadmap

The Rajasthan DigiFest X TiE Global Summit 2026 brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and investors to discuss India’s economic future. Key themes included AI innovation, job creation, and global market access, with a strong focus on entrepreneurship and skills development.

The event highlighted opportunities for Indian startups, particularly in partnership with fast-growing economies like the UAE. Speakers also stressed the indeed need for policy reforms to support small businesses and women-led enterprises.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav used the summit to promote his state as a prime investment destination. He pointed to government incentives and infrastructure as major advantages for businesses looking to expand.

MIT professor Ramesh Raskar introduced Project NANDA, a worldwide effort to develop AI systems capable of human-like reasoning and decision-making. His session underscored the growing role of advanced AI in shaping industries and economies.

NVIDIA’s Shanker Trivedi argued that AI would generate more jobs than it eliminates. He called for greater investment in sovereign AI infrastructure, ensuring India remains competitive in the global tech race. Meanwhile, discussions on policy reforms centred on simplifying GST, cutting red tape, and increasing government contracts for startups and MSMEs.

Former Union minister Smriti Irani highlighted the need to support women-led enterprises, particularly in closing credit gaps for micro-businesses. She linked their growth to broader employment opportunities across the country.

TiE announced an ambitious target: 100 million new jobs in India over the next decade. The roadmap includes data-driven job mapping, leveraging existing infrastructure, and large-scale skills training. Entrepreneurship and homegrown innovation were repeatedly cited as critical drivers for sustainable growth.

The summit concluded with a clear focus on AI, policy reforms, and job creation as pillars for India’s economic expansion. Proposals like sovereign AI investment and support for women-led businesses aim to strengthen both local and global competitiveness.

With TiE’s 100-million-job goal and ongoing discussions on market access, the event set a direction for future collaboration between startups, investors, and governments.
