Pusa Krishi Launches UPJA & ARISE 2025-26: Boosting Agri Innovation
Pusa Krishi, ICAR-IARI has launched registrations for UPJA and ARISE 2025-26, two innovative entrepreneur programs focused on boosting agriculture and related sectors. These initiatives are part of the RKVY-RAFTAAR scheme under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. Registrations began on 1 April, 2025 and will conclude on 30 April, 2025.
The programs are open to Indian startups at the minimum viable product (MVP) or prototype stage, entrepreneurs with innovative ideas, and students with early-stage concepts. Farmers, agricultural students, researchers, and entrepreneurs interested in agricultural innovation can apply. Applications can be submitted via Pusa Krishi's official website or the direct link provided.
ARISE, designed for pre-seed stage entrepreneurs, offers funding up to Rs. 5 lakhs. UPJA, for agri-startups with an MVP, provides funding up to Rs. 25 lakhs. Additionally, the initiative offers financial support of up to Rs. 4 lakhs for students with early-stage agri-tech ideas.
These incubation programs, UPJA and ARISE 2025-26, aim to foster innovation in agriculture and related sectors. They provide a significant opportunity for startups, entrepreneurs, and students to receive funding and support for their innovative ideas.
