Project for novice learners on our platform, focusing on imparting knowledge about nutrition and honing practical cooking skills.
The Nutrition Center Middle Neckar, an independent information center under the Ministry of Food, Rural Areas, and Consumer Protection (MLR) and the Ludwigsburg district, is excited to announce a new project focused on health-promoting and sustainable nutrition for schools. The project, set to take place during the 2025/2026 school year, aims to educate students in grades 7-9 about the importance of sustainable nutrition and food waste avoidance. Interested schools, classes, and teaching staff can apply for the project via email at ernaehrung@unsere Website. To apply, schools must provide information such as the number of students, type of school, grade level, school's address, and equipment of the school-owned kitchen. Schools from municipalities where students have difficulty accessing the Nutrition Center Middle Neckar by public transportation can also apply. Schools from the Ludwigsburg district are encouraged to participate. The project will be implemented on a specific platform and will consist of a close integration of theory and practice over two and a half days. A fee of 7 euros per student is required for the 2.5 project days to cover the costs of the food processed in the practical part. The Nutrition Center Middle Neckar operates at the interface between producers and consumers and is known for its high professional level and close integration of theory and practice. The on-site implementation will be handled by a catering manager. For inquiries, contact the director of the Nutrition Center, Ludmilla Scheel, by phone Tel.: 07141 144-42841 or email: Ludmilla.Scheel@unsere Website. In addition to the project, the Nutrition Center offers a variety of services such as farm visits, workshops, online lectures, practical lessons, social media contributions, newspaper articles, and further training for multipliers. The focus of these services is on health-promoting, sustainable nutrition, processing of seasonal and (bio-)regional food, and avoiding food waste. Schools from other municipalities can apply for the project under specified conditions. More information about the project and the application process can be found on the Nutrition Center Middle Neckar's website.
