Prime Minister Modi to Initiate Projects Valued at 22 Billion Indian Rupees in Varanasi on August 2, Also Distribute the 205 Billion Indian Rupee Installment of the PM-KISAN Scheme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, on August 2, where he will launch and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth around Rs 2,200 crore.
Enhancing Road Connectivity
The focus of the visit will be on enhancing road connectivity in Varanasi and surrounding areas. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the widening and strengthening of key roads, including the Varanasi-Bhadohi road and Chhitauni-Shool Tankeshwar road, as well as a new railway overbridge at Hardattpur to ease congestion on the Mohan Sarai-Adalpura Road. To boost tourism, PM Modi will inaugurate the redevelopment of eight riverfront kuccha ghats, development works at Kalika Dham, beautification of the pond and ghat at Rangildas Kutiya in Shivpur, and water purification at Durgakund. He will also lay the foundation stone for the restoration of the Kardameshwar Mahadev Temple and development works at Karkhiyaon, noted as the birthplace of several freedom fighters. Furthermore, initiatives to preserve the legacy of Munshi Premchand and the construction of a homeopathic college in Varanasi will be launched.
