In a collaborative effort, the Neuwied Home of Youth Justice was established in April 2023, bringing together the Neuwied Police Directorate, Koblenz Public Prosecutor's Office, and Neuwied City Youth Office. The strategy meeting held by the 'House of Youth Justice' Support Association saw the attendance of Mayors Peter Jung and Thorsten Runkel, along with Matthias Päsel (head of the Neuwied Police Inspectorate), Harald Schwer (deputy head of the Social Services Youth Office), and Martina Staudt (Social Services/House of Youth Justice).
The group's focus is on providing support in difficult life situations and reaching young people early on. By setting early impulses in both schools and public spaces, the Neuwied Home of Youth Justice aims to enable a life free from crime.
