Over 650 Students Compete in Nizhny Novgorod Vocational Education Final
Over 650 students from 21 institutions across the Nizhny Novgorod region gathered for the vocational education final, with eight leading vocational schools competing. The event, organised by the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Youth Career Center at KUNO.START, aimed to support young people in choosing their career paths.
The final rounds of the 'Portfolio of Competencies' business simulation took place at KUNO and KUNO.START. This initiative involved 97 teams from various cities, including Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Arzamas, Balakhna, and Knyaginino. The simulation, developed by the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), helps students with career guidance and professional development.
The final comprised two separate rounds for vocational education and higher education teams. One round, 'Resume Battle', required teams to craft and defend a resume for a specific job opening. Another round, 'Professional Dialogue', involved structured debates on employment issues.
The vocational education final concluded with eight leading schools competing. The event, supported by the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Youth Career Center, provided valuable experience for over 650 students. The 'Portfolio of Competencies' business simulation, developed by BIBB, proved effective in aiding career guidance and professional development.
