Online parent-teacher meetings focus on summer road safety for kids
A series of online parent-teacher meetings will take place from May 20 to 22 The first session on May 20 will cover pupils in grades 1 to 4. Parents and teachers of children in grades 5 to 8 will meet the following day, May 21. The final meeting on May 22 is for those with students in grades 9 to 11.
Leading the discussions is Dmitry Vladimirovsky, head of the Road Safety Awareness Division at the Traffic Police Directorate. His role includes guiding attendees on how to reduce the risk of child road traffic injuries as schools close for the holidays.
The initiative comes ahead of the summer break, a period when child road incidents often rise. By splitting the meetings across age groups, organisers aim to provide tailored advice for each stage of a student’s development. All sessions will be held online for easy access.
