Omsk students win League of Friendship with Belarusian flair and teamwork
Students from Omsk State Agrarian University's Land Management Faculty Student Council took part in the League of Friendship festival for the fourth year running. The event, marking its tenth anniversary in 2026, brings together creative and engaged students from across Omsk's universities. This year, the university's Zemcast team chose to represent Belarus throughout the competition.
The festival kicked off with a preparatory quiz testing participants on the geography and culture of different countries. Later, teams faced the Hot Tour—an interactive quest involving logic puzzles and code-cracking challenges linked to various nations.
The *Zemcast* team, made up of second- to fourth-year students, also received dance support from Valery Gavrilenko, Olzhas Mukashev, Ivan Boltovsky, and Yaroslav Schildt. Their skills were put to the test across multiple stages, from intellectual challenges to creative teamwork tasks. In the *National Cuisine* competition, the team prepared traditional Belarusian dishes like *babka* and *draniki*, earning them first place. The festival's grand finale was a gala concert, where each team performed a creative act inspired by their chosen country. *Zemcast* delivered the best performance, securing overall victory in the event.
The League of Friendship festival provided a platform for intercultural dialogue and creative expression among students. The Zemcast team's success in both the culinary competition and the gala concert highlighted their teamwork and dedication. Their victory marks another strong showing for Omsk State Agrarian University at the event.
