Omsk students dominate Russia's top computer science Olympiad
Omsk students have achieved remarkable success in the latest All-Russian Olympiads. Three pupils from the region secured first-place victories in computer science, marking a historic moment for the city. Their wins also follow strong performances by over 20 local students at the regional level. Artyom Lisin, a student at Lyceum No. 54, claimed top honours in the All-Russian Olympiad for Computer Science. His victory was matched by Arseny Karpov from Lyceum No. 64, who also won the same prestigious competition. Both students demonstrated exceptional skills in programming and problem-solving.
Mikhail Nagrebetsky, representing the Multidisciplinary Educational Center for Gifted Students No. 117, completed the trio of winners. His success in the same Olympiad category further highlighted Omsk's growing reputation in computer science education. These results represent the first national victories for the region in the 2023 Olympiad season. Before the national stage, more than 20 Omsk students had already earned prizes or winning positions in regional rounds. Their achievements set the stage for the city's later success at the All-Russian level.
The three first-place finishes confirm Omsk's rising talent in competitive academic events. These wins also reflect the strength of local schools in nurturing skilled students. For the city, the results mark a milestone in its educational progress.
