Oil & Gas Career Webinar Guides Graduates Into the Energy Sector

A webinar titled First Step Into Oil & Gas: Career Opportunities After Graduates was recently held for students exploring careers in the energy sector. Organised by the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at UiTM and the SPE UiTM Student Chapter, the online event aimed to guide final-year students and young graduates in navigating the industry. Participants joined via Microsoft Teams to gain insights from an experienced professional in the field.

The two-hour session featured Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Razmi Ziqri, a Reservoir Engineer at Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd, as the keynote speaker. He shared his career journey and discussed the wide range of opportunities available in oil and gas. Throughout the talk, he stressed the need for technical skills, adaptability, and lifelong learning to thrive in the fast-changing energy landscape.

An interactive Q&A followed, allowing attendees to ask questions directly. Dr. Husna Aini Swarno, a Senior Lecturer at UiTM Shah Alam, moderated the discussion, ensuring a smooth exchange between the speaker and participants. The event closed with a motivational message from the organising committee. They encouraged students to pursue their passion and remain persistent when entering the competitive oil and gas sector.
