Oberlin Senior Hanna Charlotte Erhorn: A Multifaceted Trailblazer in Arts, Languages, and Conservation
Hanna Charlotte Erhorn, a rising senior from Carlisle, Pennsylvania, has led an enriching life both on and off campus at Oberlin College. She is majoring in Comparative Literature with a focus in translation studies, French, and Arabic, and has gained valuable experience through various roles and activities.
On campus, Hanna has been actively involved in the arts. She has worked as a gallery guide at the Allen Memorial Art Museum and catalogued books at Oberlin's Frank Lloyd Wright House. Off campus, she has been section hiking the Pennsylvania part of the Appalachian Trail, finding solace in nature and the company of her family's three cats.
Hanna's linguistic skills have taken her abroad. She spent a semester in Rabat, Morocco, studying French and Arabic. During her stay, she interned with Morocco World News, gaining practical experience in journalism. Back in the United States, Hanna has worked for several publications, including the Oberlin Review, the Grape, Wilder Voice, and Carrion Magazine.
In addition to her academic and journalistic pursuits, Hanna is committed to environmental conservation. She has been involved with tree planting, watering, and grant writing with the Western Land Conservancy. Currently, she serves as the workshop manager at Bridge & Tunnel, a social business she co-founded with Constanze Klotz in Hamburg's Wilhelmsburg district.
