Novag's IntelliFox Revolutionizes Field Mouse Control in No-Till Systems

Novag is set to revolutionize occupation mouse control in no-till systems with its upcoming IntelliFox system. This innovative solution promises to save time and resources while minimizing soil disturbance.

The IntelliFox features a 57 cm serrated cutting disc that opens the soil gently, creating a stable channel approximately 5 cm in diameter at a depth of 10 to 20 cm. This precision is achieved through a hydraulically adjustable coulter and torpedo depth, with a low draft requirement of just 10 to 15 hp per row.

Until now, controlling field mice in no-till systems has been a labor-intensive process, involving manual application of rodenticides using specialized bait guns. The IntelliFox offers a more efficient method, with precise dosing of rodenticide via an additional tank and surface-free application. This not only saves time and labor but also makes the process more environmentally friendly.

The IntelliFox was developed to tackle the challenges posed by conservation agriculture, where undisturbed soil structure and continuous mulch cover provide ideal conditions for field mouse populations to thrive. The system is designed to integrate seamlessly with direct seeding technology, making it a practical solution for farmers.

The IntelliFox will be showcased as a prototype at Agritechnica 2025, where Novag will also present other innovations. The approval process is currently underway at the Julius Kühn Institute in Braunschweig, with a market introduction expected in summer 2026.

The IntelliFox promises to be a game-changer in field mouse control, offering a more efficient, less labor-intensive, and more environmentally friendly solution. Farmers can expect to see this innovative system in action at Agritechnica 2025, with a market launch planned for summer 2026. By 2027, Novag plans to develop a stand-alone version of the IntelliFox for grassland applications and other agricultural fields facing mouse infestations.
