Northern Kentucky Launches NextGen Giving Guide to Inspire Young Philanthropists

Horizon Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky has launched the NextGen Giving Guide, a digital resource aimed at inspiring and educating the next generation of philanthropists. The guide is a collaborative effort between Horizon Community Foundation, Magnified Giving, and the Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project at Northern Kentucky University (NKU). It is dedicated to the memory of Dr. James Votruba, whose visionary leadership continues to shape the region's spirit of giving.

The NextGen Giving Guide offers a fun and accessible introduction to philanthropy, tailored to different audiences and life stages. It provides practical tools, stories, and interactive content to help individuals, families, educators, and professionals discover meaningful ways to give their time, talent, and treasure. NKU President Dr. Cady Short-Thompson expressed pride in the students and faculty who contributed to the guide, empowering others to give back to their communities.

Nancy Grayson, President & CEO of Horizon Community Foundation, believes the guide makes philanthropy accessible and enjoyable for the next generation. She hopes it will foster a lasting culture of generosity in Northern Kentucky. The guide aims to show that everyone, regardless of age or income, can be a philanthropist and make a lasting impact in their communities.

The NextGen Giving Guide is a testament to the collaborative spirit of Northern Kentucky's community organizations. It is designed to inspire and educate, fostering a new generation of philanthropists dedicated to strengthening the region's culture of generosity.
