A new training initiative called Heroes of Nizhny Novgorod Region officially launched on August 4, 2025. The programme received strong interest from local residents. By the time registration closed on March 31, 2025, a total of 1,613 applications had been submitted. Organisers selected 60 candidates for the first watch, with another 30 places reserved for the next group.

The first watch of 60 participants has now begun their studies under the programme. Successful graduates will have the opportunity to take up positions in the region’s governance system. The next group of 30 is expected to start training in the following phase.
