The 8th International Children’s Drawing Contest 'My Russia' has opened for entries, inviting young artists aged 6 to 17 to explore this year’s theme: 'Happy People'. Organised by the 'St. Petersburg Heritage and Future' Foundation, the competition encourages children to share their vision of happiness through art. Submissions will remain open until February 15, 2026.

Since its launch seven years ago, the contest has attracted over 195,000 participants from 1,200 cities and towns worldwide. This year, children from Nizhny Novgorod, other Russian regions, and abroad are all eligible to take part. The event forms part of the broader 'Decade of Childhood' initiative, aimed at supporting young creative talent.

The contest provides a platform for young artists to showcase their creativity on an international stage. With prizes and recognition at stake, the event continues to grow, offering children a chance to express their ideas while gaining exposure in the art world. The deadline for submissions remains February 15, 2026.
