newhires and prospects for our local government district
The Landshut district administration has welcomed eight new trainees, who have embarked on their careers with local authorities in the district. On September 1, 2025, these ambitious individuals began their journey towards becoming Administrative Specialists in General Internal Administration of the Free State of Bavaria and Municipal Administration.
The four Administrative Specialist trainees will undergo a two-year dual training program, which combines practical experience at the District Office with theoretical blocks at a training facility. This comprehensive approach is designed to prepare them for a successful career in administration.
The District Office values the training of young, committed people, as Peter Dreier, the District Administrator, emphasized. He stated that diligence and interest are key to success in administration. The training team at the District Office will gradually teach new trainees about their tasks and the organization.
In addition to their practical placements at the District Office, the trainees will also attend vocational school and participate in courses at the Bavarian Administration School. These educational opportunities are part of the District Office's commitment to securing the specialists of tomorrow for the district.
Two of the trainees will commence their studies at the third level of qualification from October 1, 2025. They will be pursuing a Diplom-Verwaltungswirtin (FH) / Diplom-Verwaltungswirt (FH) degree at the Landshut district administration.
Four other trainees have opted for a civil service career path at the second level of qualification. They too will begin their training programs on October 1, 2025.
The training programs offer a variety of responsible work, from Waste Management to Registration, with diverse areas such as Nature Conservation, Construction, and Public Transport. Induction days are offered to facilitate the transition for new trainees, with support from trainees in higher years.
Training Manager Eva Schinharl and Personnel Manager Christian Gruber, along with District Administrator Peter Dreier, welcomed the new trainees. Peter Dreier highlighted that the training programs provide an excellent foundation for a successful career in administration.
The Landshut district administration looks forward to the contributions these new trainees will make, and wishes them every success in their studies and future careers.
