New 'Dostyk' School Opens in Kazakhstan Ahead of Republic Day
A new school, the 'Dostyk' in the Bayterek district of West Kazakhstan, has opened its doors ahead of Republic Day. This marks a significant step in the region's strategic drive to ensure every child has access to comfortable learning conditions and can reach their full potential.
The new school, built under the national project 'Kelechek Mektepteri' (Schools of the Future), is a welcome change for students who had previously studied in cramped classrooms of the old building. It features 70 classrooms, a STEM lab, an IT room, robotics and design studios, a choreography hall, sensory and inclusive spaces, a large cafeteria, three gyms, a library, and an assembly hall seating 300.
The school offers instruction in both Kazakh and Russian languages, catering to the diverse linguistic needs of its students. Currently, it enrolls over 1,000 students and employs 109 educators, with a capacity to accommodate 1,200 students.
The opening of the new school was celebrated with the planting of 100 trees in the schoolyard, symbolizing growth and new beginnings. This addition is part of the region's three-year plan to construct 28 educational institutions, including state-of-the-art schools equipped with the latest technology.
The opening of the Dostyk school is a testament to the region's commitment to modernizing its education system and providing equal learning opportunities for all children, regardless of their location. Led by Aida GALIYEVA, the 'Kelechek Mektepteri' project continues to transform educational landscapes, ensuring that every child has a comfortable and stimulating environment to learn and grow.
