New Co-Chairs Elected to Lead Niederrhein University's Senate for Two Years
Tobias Kimmel has been a professor of cleaning technology at the School of Industrial Engineering at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences since 2012. Regina Hahn teaches business administration, specializing in organizational development and corporate management, at the School of Business in Mönchengladbach. The two co-chairs will lead the university's Senate for the next two years.
"Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences faces key strategic challenges ahead," said Prof. Dr.-Ing. Tobias Kimmel following his election as Senate chair. "I look forward to tackling these together with Ms. Hahn and the Senate in a constructive manner, ensuring the interests of all university stakeholders are represented."
The Senate is a central body of academic self-governance, playing a key role in the appointment and dismissal of the university's executive board. It also makes decisions on fundamental issues concerning the strategic development of Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences.
